Hiking the Grand Canyon has been something cherished (and repeated many times) in my family. I think it began when my parents first embarked on the big hike to the bottom and back up with my Aunt Terri when they were young newlyweds. Now, over 30 years later, I think its been at least 11 times that at least one member of my family has hiked to the bottom and up of this vast canyon.
It was probably about 9 years ago that I found and read my first blog. It was A Beautiful Mess, one that I still read to this day. Since then I’ve sort of grown a love for following blogs; especially lifestyle and travel blogs. I love following the bloggers’ adventures; rejoicing with them in their successes, and grieving with them in their sorrows. It’s a community, and I love being a part of that!
Of all the beautiful National Parks that I’ve been to so far, for some reason Zion National Park keeps calling me back. Maybe it’s the deep red color of the canyon walls, or the versatility of hikes and activities available, or the peaceful and inviting lawn of the Zion Lodge. Whatever it is, it’s got a piece of my heart.
